Necessary Questions

  A single moment.
  A solitary moment.
That is all I have ever wanted.
That is all I have ever really longed for.
A single solitary moment of fulfillment and warmth,
                                                     of not feeling alone,
of experiencing my self-worth to the fullest.
  A single moment.
  That is all I want.
That is all I have ever wanted.
  That is my dream.
  But, perhaps,
this is the very dream that is  not meant to come true,
the very dream no one is destined to live through.
Perhaps longing is all that I am meant to have.
                  Longing and pain.
                       Longing and loneliness.
Perhaps that is all that is true about the world.
                           All that is available.
  But if so,
what is the meaning of love then?

What is the meaning of belonging and warmth?
